S.T.A.L.Okay.E.R. 2 will no longer have NFTs after fan outcry

S.T.A.L.Okay.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will no longer embody NFTs, developer GSC Game World announced Thursday. The information arrives after a closely criticized announcement Wednesday and after the studio posted after which deleted an evidence on Thursday that originally tried to elucidate it could, actually, nonetheless have NFTs.

(*2*) the brand new assertion says. “The interests of our fans and players are the top priority for the team. We’re making this game for you to enjoy — whatever the cost is. If you care, we care too.”

GSC Game World had introduced Wednesday that it could be partnering with NFT platform DMarket on digital objects for the sport. One of the NFTs it had deliberate to supply would have allowed the proprietor to grow to be a “metahuman,” which really meant they’d be was an NPC within the recreation.

Now, these plans are scrapped. I assume this explains why the studio deleted its earlier tweet.
